I am married and have three grown-up children and four grandchildren.
As a family, we have hosted international students for over 30 years and have met a lot of interesting people along the way. I have also worked in banking, the civil service, tourism, education and social services.
I am keen on self-improvement and have taken courses with The Open University, FutureLearn, OpenLearn, Vision2Learn, and LearnDirect.
I have been blogging my book reviews since 2016 and finished writing my first novel in 2017. It is not at all what I thought it would be. I enjoy rom-coms, Barbara Cartland, Sarah Morgan and Lynda Renham novels, and expected to write a light-hearted romance or something sweet about the Christmas holidays. Instead, however, I found myself writing about a murder, followed by a few more...
I have plans to write more, but am time poor, but hopefully I will manage to keep on reading and reviewing.
