My thoughts:
This book was recommended to me by a friend. It is not a book I would have chosen for myself normally, but my friend insisted it was worth reading. I struggled to get into it, but by the mid-point I really needed to know who was directing Thomas to memorise the maps, and what the reason behind that was. Also, who had killed Adam Kilbride, and why.
I had my suspicions about the roles of a couple of the characters and was delighted to have guessed at the wrong killer, and the wrong reason for Thomas’s mapping behaviour.
