Reasons Readers Might Enjoy Cornish Gold at Summer’s End

My new book Cornish Gold at Summer’s End features more surprises, laughter, and changes for event planner Julianne and her friends in the tiny village of Ceffylgwyn. For those of you unfamiliar with the series, I thought it would be nice to share a few of the reasons why readers might enjoy Julianne’s adventures, including this latest one, so here goes!
It has a cozy setting
Which makes it perfect for curling up with a cup of tea on a rainy day. After all, Julianne’s home is a place where something always seems to be going on, despite its sleepy reputation. It’s full of quaint shops, cute cottages, and friendly faces. Readers even say it feels like visiting old friends or going on holiday to a favorite spot (especially the stately Cliffs House with its quirky history and endearing lord and lady of the manor!).
There’s lots of seasonal charm
Springtime brought the village a Valentine’s surprise in the form of a reality baking show competition, but autumn winds carry a very different sort of excitement. As in rumors of spooky lights and strange happenings in the old wood. There’s even a ghost tour inspiring chills and thrills in the village crowds, while Julianne wishes her biggest dilemma was finishing her kids’ Halloween costumes on time…and that’s before things get truly chaotic! Which brings us to another reason readers might like Julianne’ world.
It blends escapism with reality
Because even though she lives in a gorgeous Cornish village with a husband who could pass for television’s Ross Poldark, Julianne’s life wouldn’t be interesting without complications. Cue two rambunctious kids, a job that keeps her on her toes, and plenty of changes on the horizon. But even with some big challenges in her path and some everyday ups and downs, she wouldn’t have it any other way. Neither would fans of the series it seems, who I really do hope will be excited for where this new adventure is taking her.
