My thoughts:

Tucker's Time Machine Telescope is a children's adventure story about a ten-year-old boy called Thomas Tucker, known as 'Tucker'. Tucker is walking down the street when he falls into a hole and finds an old telescope. It is only when he uses it that he discovers it is a time machine which can transport him into the past or the future.

I found it to be a quick, easy read, aimed at primary aged children, who I think will love it. Indeed, the ending left me wanting more and hoping that a second installment will shortly be forthcoming.

Tucker's Time Machine Telescope amused me greatly, and I can see myself reading it to my grandchildren and enjoying it all over again.

Definitely one to add your adventure-loving children's home library.

Author Bio – Robin Bennett

When Robin grew up he thought he wanted to be a cavalry officer until everyone else realised that putting him in charge of a tank was a very bad idea. He then became an assistant gravedigger in London. After that he had a career frantically starting businesses (everything from dog-sitting to cigars, tuition to translation)... until finally settling down to write improbable stories to keep his children from killing each other on long car journeys. Robin plays most sports. Poorly.
