I stumbled across this book while looking for something else, and was drawn to it by the beautiful illustration on the cover.

An article in "Smart Parents," August 16, 2017 by, Jassmin Peter-Berntzen discusses "5 Ways to Help Junior Handle Losing His Toy." The article recommends that you : "Acknowledge the feelings of grief. Don't quickly shove a substitute toy at them. Don't keep their hopes up that the toy might be found. Allow the child time to grieve, and offer comfort."
Experts say that a child who has loved a toy can usually transfer that love to another toy. So you may be able to offer another toy to replace the loss, but this will need to be done with time, love, care and understanding.
Reading this story with your two to five year old may also help them with the development of language skills. The story makes use of directional words. Children as young as two years old may begin to learn the concept of directional words such as: under, top, left, right, up, down, etc. Use of hand signals as you read the story may help with this language development.
If you and your child enjoy author stories such as A.A. Milne, "Winnie the Pooh," or Barbara Park, "Junie B. Jones," you may enjoy Emma and her collection of life like stuffed animal friends and the adventures that they share together.
"Bunny Blue, Where Are You"? is a beautifully illustrated story to be treasured by you and your child. If you are musical, you may want to use the melody of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," and sing along with Banjo Bear as he looks for Bunny Blue during the story!
Book 3 in "My Truly Most Favorite Fluffy Friend," series is "I Do Not Like Bugs!." Read this beautifully illustrated story to find out what happens to Emma and her friends. How do her friends help her? What does Emma discover?

My thoughts:
This story is written with quite young children in mind. Throughout the book, the colourful illustrations are very detailed and eye-catching, and might be used to engage the child and extend their vocabulary as they join in the hunt for Bunny Blue.Whilst I enjoyed the storybook, I found it difficult to read some of the text because it is positioned over the illustrations, and does not always stand out against the background colours.
