My thoughts:

Despite Let Me Lie being headlined The Number One Sunday Times Bestseller, it didn't have me in any way hooked or entertained. That's not to say it's not a good book, just one that didn't appeal to me personally.

Let Me Lie was chosen for this month's book club read, and took me out of my comfort zone. I felt duty-bound to get through it.

For me, the whole thing was like swimming in porridge. Nothing made me smile or want to investigate an idea further. I found it very slow to get going, but was assured I'd enjoy the ending, so plodded on. Nothing happened for a long time, and the characters were bland and uninteresting.
