My thoughts:
The Diary of a Nagging Wife appealed to me because the cover looked comical, and the overtired and over-worked mother described in the blurb sounded just like me some thirty years ago. Now that I am no longer that poor harrased creature, I can stand back and smile at those things which sent me over the edge back then.Annie and her husband Matt have two small children and busy lives. His life revolves around work, while hers is home-based. They are finding less time for each other which makes Annie question what has changed in their marriage. They aren't listening to each other or communicating properly, resulting in a downward spiral of further upset and resentfulness.
This is a quick read which I got into very quickly. It is very humorous, with the down-trodden Annie telling her side of the story through her diary entries with the occasional touch of sarcasm. I found it easy to relate to Annie's experiences, and loved her sarky comments. It was easy to gauge Annie’s mood by the way she signs off on her diary entries.
An entertaining read that made me smile.

 Donna Mensah is a author of the new novel 'The diary of a nagging wife' Donna is a women's fiction writer and her writing is know for it's humor and will often have you convulsing with laughter from the moment you pick it up. Donna started her career as a singer and songwriter, so her passion for writing was already evident, however a twist of fate, allowed her to take a different route into the world of book writing and she hasn't looked back since. Donna lives and works out of her home in Waltham Abbey, Essex with her husband and two children. |
