My thoughts:

The Dance of the Snow Tractors is a beautifully illustrated children’s picture book which tells the story of a clear up after a big snow in Canada. From the viewpoint of a child, it is a spectacular show to behold, one which Siena enjoys watching, wrapped up warm and sipping hot chocolate on her veranda.

“The Dance of the Tractors”, as Siena describes it, is the orderly removal of snow from driveways after the big snow plough has cleared the snow from the road.

Written in Canadian English for 4 – 7 year olds, The Dance of the Snow Tractors shines a light on the severe Canadian winters through the eyes of a child.

Shannon Wilvers is a Canadian illustrator who loves drawing things on her computer. While she mostly draws and colours digitally, she also likes to experiment and play with different mediums such as watercolour. In her spare time, she enjoys learning new things and watching cartoons.She is currently based in New Brunswick where she lives with her dog, Lucy.
