The blurb:

Maggie’s Red Circus Bus

Everyone smiles and waves when the Playbus drives by—at least, almost everybody.

Imagine a whole bus full of costumes and toys and circus fun. After a summer of excitement, everyone is getting ready for a special performance full of talent and laughter.

But the bus driver has one final job: to make sure the Playbus is ready for the big day too.

This is a fun book full of circus thrills and cooperation. I enjoy the gentle plot, which leaves plenty of room for great ideas and imagination. I'd definitely recommend this book for summer reading! (Sirah Jaroki - Editor)

My thoughts:

I was delighted to get a spot on the blog tour for Sue Wickstead's latest children's story picture book. By now my readers will know that I am a big fan of these colourful and entertaining children's stories.

Maggie’s Red Circus Bus is about a playbus whose driver is called Maggie. In this story, Maggie and her co-workers have kitted the playbus out with circus themed activities for the children and the children are working on their circus skills in readiness for a performance at the end of the summer.

Maggie’s Red Circus Bus is written to be a shared reading experience for adults with their young children, but the more confident young reader will also be able to read it for themselves.

Maggie’s Red Circus Bus is beautifully illustrated by Jo Anne Davies and will encourage discussion around this circus-themed story. It is a delightful story which will no doubt fire a child's imagination with ideas of lions, clowns, trapeze artists and much more.

I've just ordered a couple of copies for my grandchildren, one of whom is called Maggie!
