I was lucky enough to win a paperback copy of Miss Match: The Truth About Destiny: Book 2 back in 2018, for which I thank the author, Crystal Cestari. Unfortunately I have not had time to read it until now.

Young Adult Fiction Romance Fantasy

My thoughts:

Once again I have jumped into the middle of a series, and missed information in the first novel which would have made it easier to settle into this story. By chapter 5 that didn't matter, and I was happily engrossed in this charming story.

Although aimed at 13-18 year olds, I thoroughly enjoyed this fantasy story. It felt like The Little Mermaid for grown-ups with its evil witch Victoria intent on gaining more power; using the love-lorn Iris to retrieve a magical token from its protector. There is also mystery and intrigue as Amber reads her mother's grimoire - a diary - in a bid to discover the truth.

The more I think about it, the more I realise just how much I enjoyed it. I shall now add Book 3 to my Reading List.
