The blurb:
Rodasauri the Dinosaur’s Trip to London 2nd EditionRodasauri the Diplodocus has always dreamed of experiencing a proper London Christmas.
On his way to find this land of sparkling decorations, he meets the generous Father Christmas who helps him get to London, taking him on a tour of all the wonderful and diverse Christmas treats that London has to offer.
What Rodasauri finds is a place of love and friendship, filled with many different people—and now a dinosaur! —who all join together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.

My thoughts:
Rodasauri The Dinosaur’s Trip To London is a lovely read for the under 8 year olds. It mixes the magic of Christmas with a child's interest in dinosaurs and uses words such as 'extinct' and 'herbivore' to open discussions about dinosaurs and extend vocabulary. The message of kindness and friendship clearly comes through when Rodasauri stops to help Father Christmas and is then helped on his journey to London where he meets and is befriended by two children, Thomas and Rose, and their mother.
This picture book has wonderful illustrations by Chrissie Yeomans which I'm sure will encourage further conversations about dinosaurs, London, and Christmas amongst other things.
Something that particularly caught my eye, is the formatting of the words 'over' and 'down' to show how Rodasauri skied over mountains, in an up and down fashion, and down slopes, in a down then up way.
Rodasauri The Dinosaur’s Trip To London is an enchanting little story which will especially appeal to children who love dinosaurs, and will make a great little stocking-filler this year.
