I downloaded a free copy of this short story in March 2018 and it's only today that it has popped up as a potential quick read towards my target of reading 20 books for the #20BooksOfSummer2025 reading challenge. I haven't made a note of how it came into my possession, but trying to find it now, it looks to be the first chapter of a full-length novel by the same name.

Short Stories
My thoughts:
The short story I read was indeed the first chapter of what is now a full-length novel. There is the promise of intrigue in this story; both Harry and Alana have secrets they are keeping; and by the end of this story we learn something of what Alana is hiding.
I'm not sure I was sufficiently invested in either of these characters to want to know more about them. Would I want to read the completed novel? Sadly, no.
