I received a very sad email from Rachel of Rachel's Random Resources inviting me to take part in this blog tour. Rachel told me that she was starting to arrange the tour for Be Our Ghost when she learned that the author, Carla Luna, had sadly passed away. In her email, Rachel said she was looking for more reviewers to help give this author and her book a wonderful final launch. So, with that heart-rending piece of information in mind, I juggled my TBR list and signed up to do a review.
As always, I begin by thanking Rachel for the invitation to join the tour and author Carla Luna and her husband for providing me with a free digital copy of Be Our Ghost to read and review.

Be Our Ghost is the second book in The Duchess Hotel series and is set in a hotel of that name in Victoria, British Columbia. It can easily be read as a standalone as no prior knowledge of the previous story is needed to be able to enjoy this novel.
This is a workplace romance which finds the two main characters, Charlie and Knox, finally getting together, thanks to a joint project to prove The Duchess Hotel is haunted and convince a national ghost hunting television programme to film at the hotel.
When I started reading, I immediately wanted to know more about the ghost, and thought that particular thread was a little slow to get going. I found Knox's backstory interesting, and winced at Charlie's mother championing Charlie's previous relationship, making things awkward between Charlie and Knox.
Although I am not one for spicy sex scenes, I did enjoy reading Be Our Ghost and was very satisfied with how this story concluded, so much so that I've added the first in this series, Santa Maybe, to be Wishlist.
